How easy is it to create professional looking, fully branded invoices?

Cashboard allows you to easily upload your own logo. Simply browse thru your hard drive and upload your image. The background defaults to white so adapting your own logo to the header template is easy.

This said, there’s one thing you need to know about Cashboard. If there’s one online invoice that makes you think, Cashboard it is! You need to figure things out with Cashboard. Interface is not intuitive which makes navigation a bit of a pain. Ok, “intuitive” may be arbitrary. But here’s the simplest example. Most, if not all online invoices has a tab on “Invoices”. It’s the first tab you go to, instinctively. You go to Cashboard, and wala, it’s not there! Click all the tabs until you get to “Income” tab (per image above) and under it you’ll see ”Invoices”. You get there but even then you can’t see any button that will allow you to create an Invoice. After a couple of minutes of frustration you’ll discover, ah, that little green cross button up there is your salvation! It allows you to create anything, anywhere you may be. But well, once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty cool actually.

Color Template

Cashboard gives you a lot of color templates/preset schemes to choose from. But first you need to figure out what “Corporate Approved” or “Hayride” looks like (image below). With other online invoices you can see at a glance all the colors available (read more Best Invoice Review| Color Templates). With Cashboard, you need to load all the schemes one by one to see what they look like. Finding the color that approximates your own brand becomes a time consuming process.

But here’s one good thing. You can provide your brand’s exact Hex value, not to 1, 2 or 3 but to all of your elements! This is awesome customizability, unmatched by all the other online invoices reviewed! There’s also a drop down color scheme if you only need to approximate your color. If there were on-site screenshot guides as to which exactly is “Header Bg/tab Bg” or “Page Tab Text” etc, it would have been perfect! As it is, non-geek users will need to adjust colors based on trial and error method. Only then will you be able to figure out which title corresponds to which element.

Only Cashboard provides you full control (online) over all your invoice documentation, down to the CSS and HTML level! This is excellent for those who know basic HTML/CSS . However, for the average non-geek, this flexibility can be daunting. Unlike other online invoices, there are no ready made clickable templates you can choose from.

Cashboard Document Template

Cashboard provides you the most flexibility in branding! You can define the colors and attributes of almost every single element on your invoice. This is unmatched by any online invoice reviewed. However, the interface is designed for more advanced users. You’ll need to read thru the instruction manuals or figure things out. In the absence of effective on-site cues or guides, average non-geeks are left hanging or groping. If you are used to easy applications, frustration may set in even before you get to discover the amazing possibilities of this online invoice. If however, you have basic html/css knowledge, then Cashboard provides you with a most excellent tool to project that “Virtual Corporation” image!
